CHALLENGE

National Kidney Foundation of Illinois works with community leaders, healthcare professionals, and corporate partners to improve the lives of patients and families affected by kidney disease. They provide patients access to resources and information, host educational events, support research, advocate for improvements in healthcare policy, and provide free kidney health screenings for the state of Illinois.

SOLUTION

NKFI came to We Build Databases to help build a system to manage their KidneyMobile® program. There was no centralized system that tied together all portions of the NKFI workflow; from participant and volunteer registration processes, dynamic participant screening results, and customized reporting across all of the screening locations. We Build Databases continues to extend the NKFI KidneyMobile® application which allows for greater visibility, coordination and screening management throughout the program.

The Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Institute for Education Policy (IEP) was searching for a database strategist and development partner to work directly with their team of subject matter experts to produce a nationally recognized research platform aimed at improving education at the K-12 grade levels.

SOLUTION

WBD was selected to define, design and deliver: School Culture Survey 360TM, Knowledge MapTM, and Teacher Survey of Curriculum Use. Today, WBD remains a trusted partner of JHU and continues to enhance, optimize, and maintain this comprehensive tool set that improves education, curricula development, and centralized reporting for the US educational system of teachers, parents, and students.

CHALLENGE

Seraph Biosciences was not only looking to consolidate and manage their research and machine learning data sets into a comprehensive cloud-based application. They needed the applications AI training data to integrate with their IVD platform device. Seraph’s patent pending technology and method of detection* aimed to eliminate the need for time-consuming and costly laboratory-based methods of specimen collection, processing and pathogen identification.

SOLUTION

WBD was not only selected to build and deploy the cloud-based beta application, but WBD’s UX/UI design and program management leads, led Seraph’s design and delivery of the fully-integrated platform.
