The Georgetown HIV Policy Lab needed a more effective and efficient system to track, manage, and encode country-specific HIV policy indicators. The existing platform for data entry and document management was outdated and difficult to use, resulting in challenges with data accuracy and ease of access. The team required a new backend application that would improve usability, streamline data processes, and support accurate reporting and data visualization for various stakeholders.
WBD worked closely with Georgetown’s team to deliver a new backend application that replaced the legacy system.
The solution provides:

• Data Migration & Cleansing – Historical data was carefully manipulated, cleansed, and formatted for seamless integration into the new platform, ensuring that the HIV Policy Lab’s existing data was preserved and accurate.
• Scalable Architecture – The backend system is designed to be extensible, setting the stage for future enhancements such as detailed reporting features, increased interactivity, and advanced value-added tools in future phases.
